VINTAGE WILHELM EBERLE VIOLIN STRADIVARIUS GERMANY 1900 * MID 20c ONE PIECE BK
Vintage Wilhelm Eberle violin, from Germany/East.  Full 4/4 size 14" body. Early to mid 20th century. I have seen a few of these violins that were made with the Eberle name on it, but never one this beautiful.  Deep rich dark varnish that reminds me of early Wurlitzers from Chicago. Violin has a
one piece carved back
.  I see some checking of the varnish from age. There is a serial number in old ink on the heal of the neck that matches the one in the case.  Perhaps they wanted to get the correct violin in the correct case? New strings, NOS from the 70s, silver wound gut. Combination of tri-color and Piastro, Gotz. The violin has a flex foot French bridge. I don't see any cracks or separations. Comes with the case. Ready to play.
