This is the Vintage Von Fried August Glass 1737 German 4/4 Violin.
14" body length. 8" bottom bout.
The August Glass instruments are very well regarded among players.
This Glass has a spruce top and highly flamed back/sides.
The woods here have aged wonderfully resulting in a warm, full tone.
This violin has a hairline repair on the top and the typical marks you expect on a violin of this vintage.
This auction includes the wooden hardshell case in pics.
