Offered in this listing is an old violin with a case and two bows, one stamped VUILLAUME and the other bearing the NIPPON trade mark.  The violin itself is unmarked, and there are no label traces that I can see.  I believe that the violin may be French, but I have no expertise (I am a guitarist and know nothing about violins), and I do not claim to be able to tell a Mirecourt from a Markneukirchen.  There are some accessories, as pictured, including a bridge stamped to indicate that it was made in France, and a BECKER pat applied for chin rest. My sons looked inside the violin for me and they said that there 4 blocks and that they look like they are curved in a bit, if that helps.  I have taken very many images, which you will see below the description. I attempted to show details like the curve and shape of the scrolls, shape of the f-holes, etc.  If you need any additional images, please contact us through the message board.

Bow stamped VUILLAUME: 29 3/8 inches
Nippon bow: 29 1/4 inches. Bow is missing a piece of Mother of Pearl
CONDITION
: The violin and bows are in PROJECT CONDITION, as you can see from the images, thus they are offered "as-is."  There is a top crack visible, possibly a side crack near the heel of the neck, and scattered wear throughout.  The bows need new hair and the inlay is missing from the bottom of the frog on the Japanese bow.  It looks like it could be a nice violin with some TLC.
