Old "J.A House"/ "S.L. Harper" Violin w/ Horst Bow & Case. 4/4 Full-Size

Travel back in time with this interesting old
violin. There is a long ink inscription on the inside back. It reads:
MADE- 1876- BY-/ J.A. HOUSE- SPRINGFIELD/ OHIO/ GRADUATED 1921-/ BY S.L. HARPER/TACOMA
. Yes, it's confusing. Did House or Harper make it? I do not know. I can't learn anything about either maker on the Internet of Eternal Wonders.
With a 14" body and 23" overall length, it's a 4/4 full size instrument. Two-piece flamed maple back and side. Spruce top. Pegs and peg heads are in good round. New tailpiece. New strings. New Aubert bridge. Dyed fingerboard. The sound post is standing.
It has some ordinary age and play wear with some scuffs and scrapes, but no cracks. There's a tiny cap on the edge missing, on the treble side lower bout about an inch from the tailpiece.
The bow is marked HORST. It has no hair.
The case is quite worn, but basically functional. The case handle, hinges, and latches all work. The case lid clip that holds the bow frog is missing.
It's an interesting old violin. I don't play violin, but it should be ready to play, except for the action being a bit high.
