Old Stradivarius Copy w/ Bow. Made in Germany. 1/2 Size.

Description

It's an old violin. The label identifies it as a Stradivarius copy, made in Wiesbaden, Germany. The label is also signed Hoffner, who I assume is the maker.
With a 12-1/2" body and 20-1/2" overall length, it's 1/2 size violin. The top looks like it's been refinished, except where the bridge feet once sat. One fine tuner on the first E string. The pegs and peg holes are in good round. No cracks. One piece back. I just put new strings on it.
The bow is unmarked and needs to be haired.
The case is quite worn, but is functional. The case handle, latches, and hinges all work. The bow holder on the inside case lid doesn't hold the bow. There's lots of old black gaffing tape on
the
outside of
the
case, holding it together.
It's an inexpensive violin that should be ready to play, except for the bow, which needs hair.
