Beautiful old German master violin by Alois Fuetterer 1922, numbered 67.

Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. This highly arched violin shows no cracks or open seams, and only minor marks in its amber varnish. The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back is nicely flamed maple. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthier and by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new set up with ebony pegs, an ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings.
These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!

Measures aprox.: total 59 cm / 23.2", body 35,6 cm / 14", vibrating chord length 32,8 cm / 12.9", weight 484 gr / ~17.1 oz. For further questions please feel free to ask, or/and - as we sell a lot of different violins - we would recommend to do a bit of internet research (Google / Wikipedia etc.) about makers, models and prices.
