very nice unrestored 100% original New York license plate pair. 1958 base.  12 x 6 inches; black legend on yellow background.  completely straight and flat with a bit of prison warp, with excellent original paint as seen in the photos.  some touchup on each plate takes them from "rotten" to "patina".  fresh out of the barn!
DMV clear as of 10/23/2022.  may be registered to your 1958 vehicle, or your 1959 with the appropriate tab.  (ask about a 1959 tab; I may have one.)  perfect for your Ford, Chevy, Plymouth, Pontiac, or DeLorean.
