    Description

    This violin was handcrafted by luthier John Sipe for the 1976 American bicentennial.  One was made for each of the 13 original colonies.  This one was made to represent Delaware.
    There is a note affixed to the inside finish of the violin that reads:
    1776 << special series >> 1976
    JOHN SIPE FECIT CHARLOTTE
    In Onore Della Celebrazione
    Bi-Centenaria Delle 13 Colonie
    No1 "Delaware" (alpha / omega) John Sipe
    Nice finish, appears to be in excellent condition.
    It was appraised a few years ago at ,000.
    The included French bow is stamped "ALBERT" on one side and "MADE IN FRANCE" on the other.  Some of the hairs of the bow are broken.  It was appraised at ,000.
    Both will come in the case as shown.  The case has wear and blemishes.
    This sale if for everything shown.  Unfortunately, I do not have the appraisal.
