Antique violin with superb tone: refinished, pro repairs, 4/4, w/ bow and case

Description

Antique violin with no label. It has a hand-carved solid Spruce top, a book-matched, flame-Maple back, and flame Maple sides and neck. The tone is rich, and the playability is very good with low action. Over the years, it has had several professional repairs to small cracks, and there are the usual finish blemishes one would expect on a vintage violin. It has scratches and small dings and pits with aging spots and the usual wear. Also, it has been refinished at least once, and there are signs of overspray and touch up. However, it has endured with plenty of volume and powerful, dramatic lows with a sweet high-end tone. The resonance that has mellowed through age. A Pernambuco bow and a generic, newer case are included.

Large items go out Economy Shipping (USPS Priority package), or UPS ground delivery, when possible and affordable. If you are receiving the item at a P.O. Box, especially, a remote P.O. Box, please be sure that location is recognized by the Post Office for package delivery of the size of the item before you bid. UPS will not ship to a P.O. Box. Also, I do not ship to APO or FPO addresses.
Any stands or other props used to hold or display art or instruments, while photos are taken, are not included.
