Description
This is a beautiful violin made in Saxony, Germany circa 1890-1910. It is unlabeled, but is a Stradivarius model. The wood is mild figured maple and medium grained spruce. It sounds good.This is an outstanding violin in good condition.
The new strings are German Silver. New Aubert-France bridge, new soundpost,
new tailpiece and
Tailgut, There are no open cracks.
Length of back is 14-1/8", upper bout 6-5/8", lower bout is 8-1/4", and overall is 23-1/4". The original amber & broiwn varnish is in good condition.
These large German Stradivarius model violins usually sound good and this one does. It's tone and projection are good.
