  • Condition: This violin does have some wear and will need some work to make playable. One tuning knob is missing, the lowest string looks like it is tied onto the tailpiece, it does not have a chin rest, and I don't think it has a sound post. IIt does not have a bridge. don't see any cracks on the top or back, but there may have been a crack repaired on the side by the connection to the neck. Some of the black has worn off the fingerboard. See photos to help judge the condition.

    For sale is an Antique Hopf Violin for Repair. This violin does have some wear and will need some work to make playable. One tuning knob is missing, the lowest string looks like it is tied onto the tailpiece, it does not have a chin rest, and I don't think it has a sound post. It does not have a bridge. I don't see any cracks on the top or back, but there may have been a crack repaired on the side by the connection to the neck. Some of the black has worn off the fingerboard.
