$ 6333.36

Availability: 80 in stock
  • Brand: SEGA/Nintendo
  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
  • Game Title: Rhythm Tengoku / Rhythm Heaven
  • Original/Reproduction: Original
  • Year: 2007
  • Condition: This game is almost MINT. It is just about like brand new. The only flaws I could find on it are a few minor blemishes on the control panel area, and some small areas of scraping on the front 2 access doors at the bottom, probably from tape that was holding them closed. Otherwise, this thing is perfect. The cabinet itself it immaculate. The decals are flawless. The top marquee / neon bar area is perfect. The monitor and surrounding bezel and artwork are all perfect. The control panel (with the exception of those few minor blemishes) is perfect and works perfectly with all buttons lighting up and actuating perfectly. It plays perfectly. The picture could not be any better. I know the pictures above make it look like the picture has problems, but that is just the shutter speed on my iPhone - it can't capture the way the monitor looks. The speakers are in perfect shape and sound great. All of the RBG lights around the speakers work perfectly. New locks.

    WORKING DESCRIPTION:
This game works absolutely perfectly. The monitor has a perfect, bright, sharp, colorful picture.  The sound is perfect from all the speakers.  The lights all flash and change colors as they are supposed to.  The neon bars flash on and off as they are supposed to.  The buttons all work perfectly.  The Naomi system works perfectly.  All the access doors in front have new keyed-alike locks.
I even took the Naomi system apart and replaced the cooling fan with a new one, and cleaned out the system just to be proactive.
This is probably my favorite game to play - out of over 1500 games I own.  It is not only tremendously fun, but has a ton of depth. It is also a gorgeous cabinet and truly a work of art in my opinion.
It is also an extremely hard game to get your hands on.  I searched for one for years and years before finding my first one.  I then continued searching to get my hands on a second one for back up.  This is the second one I found.  Both had to be imported from Japan, as that is the only place the game was released.
That brings up the one downside of this game - most of the text / instructions in the game are in Japanese.  This makes SOME levels very difficult to play.  But I've always liked a challenge.  MOST of the levels can be figured out with a little attention and deduction.  And once you understand them, they are fun from then on.  But some take a little work.  Like when some guy shouts at you in Japanese and you are supposed to react in a certain way depending on what he says.  I don't know Japanese so it is tough.  But like I said, most (like 75%+) are pretty easy to understand and play.
I have one of these in my Arcadia Playable Arcade Museum in Central IL and despite the language barrier, it is one of the most popular games.  And there are quite a few people who claim that it is their favorite game and the reason they come to Arcadia.  I believe it.  I would come just for this game too.
By the way, another great feature of the game is that you can compete head to head with another player at the same time, which adds a whole extra layer of depth and fun.  But it is just as fun to play by yourself.
I don't really want to sell this because I want to have a backup for my arcade.  But I figure since I have two of them, I will at least offer it here (at a ridiculous price) in case anyone out there REALLY wants it.  It is priceless in my opinion, which made it hard to price.  I probably priced it way too low, as I'm afraid it still might sell.  But hopefully not.
I took a video of this game so you can get a tiny taste of what it's like:

CONDITION and RATINGS for THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE:
This game is in excellent cosmetic condition.  Just about like new, frankly.  It seems wrong to start by listing the flaws, like we're highlighting them.  But in this case, there are so few flaws that it is quicker and easier to just list the flaws than to list everything that is super nice / mint.
FLAWS: a few minor blemishes around the control panel area.  A little bit of scratch/paint wear in a line on the front of the two access doors - probably caused by tape that was holding them shut.  That's it. I can't find anything else wrong with this anywhere cosmetically or electronically.
If you need any more pictures or have any questions, please let me know - I'm happy to answer.

    LOCATION:
This game is located in sunny, beautiful downtown McLean, IL 61754.  That's right...in the heart of Classic Arcade World where Arcadia: America's Playable Arcade Museum, Pinball Paradise, and Hotel Arcadia are located!  I suggest buying this game and then making its pickup a fun family road trip!  We have over 140 playable games and luxurious arcade-themed lodging options.  Contact me for more details or look for hotel Arcadia on airbnb.
    SHIPPING:
Included in the price is FREE WHITE GLOVE SHIPPING from North American Van Lines.  They will bring it right inside your house (ground floor only).  This is for the 48 contiguous United States only.  If you want this shipped internationally, it will cost extra and we will have to discuss it and get a shipping quote before you pull the trigger.
Regarding shipping time, North American Van Lines only picks up from my location once a week.  So shipping will probably take between 7 and 14 days depending on where you are in the country.  In some rare cases possibly longer.
For what it's worth, I have been collecting (hoarding) games for over 30 years and selling them on eBay since about 1997. I have probably shipped two thousand games (many but not all on eBay), from individual games to full containers.  You won't find a more reputable seller...check my feedback.  Unfortunately, I cannot provide a money-back guarantee on this just because a lot can happen in shipping.  What I CAN guarantee is that if you pick the game up, or if not when the game leaves my hands, it will be exactly as described and photoed above.  And in 30 years of selling, I have never left anyone in the lurch or ripped anyone off.  I'm a fair, honest guy...ask anyone.
