    Description

You are bidding on one 19th century 4/4 Violin, with a label inside the body of the instrument that reads “Joannes Franciscus Pressenda q. Raphael fecit Taurini anno Domini 18 —“
Our best guess is that this is a genuinely antique violin that is a recreation of Italian violin maker Giovanni Francesco Pressenda’s highly collectible work from the early 1800s.
The body of the violin is attractive and lustrous, with minimal wear. As is evident in the pictures, it needs to be restrung and some other small pieces of hardware (added after the violin was made) are needed as well. Please see photos for condition, and feel free to reach out with questions or to ask for more pictures.
Also included in this listing is a hard carrying case.
    Thank you!
