Availability: 67 in stock
  • Year: 1988
  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
  • Condition: This game is working 100%. The monitor is rebuilt (by me) and it is the original ultra-reliable Wells Gardner 19k4600 series 19" monitor. It has a phenomenal picture-bright, sharp, colorful. The marquee is perfect and lights up with a new fluorescent bulb and new starter behind it. The control panel has all new controls, happ ultimate buttons and joystick. The artwork is not in perfect condition, but looks ok. The cabinet is in good condition, but not great. It is a little worn around the edges. This used to be a super rare Gameplan Enigma II cabinet. It got converted to this game. The colors of the cabinet actually match the colors from this game quite well.
  • Game Title: Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf
  • Brand: SNK

    Description

    WORKING DESCRIPTION:
This game is working 100%. The monitor is rebuilt (by me) and it is the original ultra-reliable Wells Gardner 19k4600 series 19" monitor.  It has a phenomenal picture-bright, sharp, colorful.  You won't find a nicer picture, and it should be reliable now that it's rebuilt.
The marquee is perfect and lights up with a new fluorescent bulb and new starter behind it.  The control panel has all new controls, happ ultimate buttons and joystick.  The game plays just great.
This is another game that I was really unfamiliar with and had never played before this week.  It's actually a fun game to play.  I have to admit that I really like golf games.  Especially these old-school ones.  Nintendo Vs. Golf was a blast and I played that one a ton.  This is similar in game play to that, but newer and with more depth. It's a pretty challenging game, but that is good.  Easy games don't stay interesting very long.  Challenging ones do.
You get to choose from 4 different golfers with different strengths and weaknesses.
I should mention that this game is running on all original hardware.
CONDITION and RATINGS for THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE:
This game is in decent condition, but has some wear and tear.  The marquee is perfect.  The monitor bezel is also in excellent condition and still crisp and vibrant.  The control panel artwork is a bit generic, but I'm sure it's what came with the kit.  You see, this was a kit only game - there were no dedicated, original Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf games made - all were kits.
So given that this had to be installed in a different cabinet, I think the cabinet this operator chose is perfect.  It's a good size and shape, and has a nice silver stainless steel coin door that looks great.  It also has artwork colors that match the colors on the marquee and bezel.
The cabinet is in decent condition, but it has a few flaws.  There are some worn spots on the edges of the cabinet.  The back and top look like it might have been dripped on a few times, but no major water damage.  Also, the inside of the cabinet has signs of some stains, but again, it isn't major water damage because believe me, if this particular cabinet had gotten major water, it would have absolutely fallen apart.
The game has new T-molding, which looks nice.  Also, a new lock.  It has coin mechs installed and an original coin box.  Also has the original back door, which is somewhat unusual.
If you need any more pictures or have any questions, please let me know - I'm happy to answer.

    NOTE:
Unlike some other sellers on eBay, the game I am selling is the actual game pictured and described above.  Somehow, other sellers seem to think a single stock photo from google and a generic description like "great condition, but may have some scratches and blemishes" is good enough. They have some beat up junker in the warehouse and don't even get it ready to sell until it sells.
Not here at VintageVideogames.Arcadia.  We don't list the game until it is completely through the restoration/refurbishment and is ready to ship out.  And we take pictures of the exact game that we are selling. We want you to know exactly what you are buying.
    LOCATION:
This game is located in sunny, beautiful downtown McLean, IL 61754.  That's right...in the heart of Classic Arcade World where Arcadia: America's Playable Arcade Museum, Pinball Paradise, and Hotel Arcadia are located!  I suggest buying this game and then making its pickup a fun family road trip!  We have over 140 playable games and luxurious arcade-themed lodging options.  Contact me for more details or look for hotel Arcadia on airbnb.
    SHIPPING:
Included in the price is FREE WHITE GLOVE SHIPPING from North American Van Lines.  They will bring it right inside your house (ground floor only).  This is for the 48 contiguous United States only.  If you want this shipped internationally, it will cost extra and we will have to discuss it and get a shipping quote before you pull the trigger.
Regarding shipping time, North American Van Lines only picks up from my location once a week.  So shipping will probably take between 7 and 14 days depending on where you are in the country.  In some rare cases possibly longer.
For what it's worth, I have been collecting (hoarding) games for over 30 years and selling them on eBay since about 1997. I have probably shipped two thousand games (many but not all on eBay), from individual games to full containers.  You won't find a more reputable seller...check my feedback.  Unfortunately, I cannot provide a money-back guarantee on this just because a lot can happen in shipping.  What I CAN guarantee is that if you pick the game up, or if not when the game leaves my hands, it will be exactly as described and photoed above.  And in 30 years of selling, I have never left anyone in the lurch or ripped anyone off.  I'm a fair, honest guy...ask anyone.
