    Description

Made in Western Germany, it's a Stradivarius copy violin.
    With
a 23" body and 14-1/8" overall length, it's a full-size 4/4 instrument. As it was made in West Germany, it was made sometime between 1949 and 1991. I'd guess it was sometime towards the beginning of that time frame, probably the 1950s or so. The prior owner was an enthusiastic, but anonymous, Ohio bluegrass fiddler. He carved his name in the bass side waist, Euclid Neal.
The fiddle needs strings. The tailpiece is missing its gut string. The bridge and chin rest are included. The pegs and peg holes are in good
round. The sound post is standing. It comes with a Jax contact microphone. I'm not sure how the mic would attach to the top; the next owner would have to rig something up. It also comes with an old jaw harp. No bow.
The old Bull's Head case is very worn, but still basically functional. The case handle, hinges, and latches all work. Mr. Neal printed his last name on the case with packing tape. In general, the case is held together with a bunch of packing tape.

It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a stout cardboard instrument box.
