very nice unrestored 100% original New York license plate. 1942 issue; number 3C 44.  rare four-character variant.  13 x 6 inches; yellow legend on black background.  completely straight and flat with excellent original paint as seen in the photos.  fresh out of the barn!  New York only issued one plate in 1942, so there is no pair available.  1943 tab is present; it's probably been on there since 1943.  nice 42-43-44 pattern in the year and serial number.
DMV clear as of 9/7/2022.  may be registered to your 1942 or 1943 vehicle for road use.  perfect for your Ford, Chevy, Plymouth, Studebaker, or DeLorean.
